Do you have to drill anything to put together an fal kit? Is it pretty easy to do? I am new to fals and I am thinking about building one.

As long as your building from a complete (stripped) FAL receiver to start with there is no drilling.

If you are starting with an 80% or less receiver blank then there will be drilling and sanding and milling just like building an AR15.

Its not really that hard to build a FAL if you have the right tools. Except for installing the barrel its mostly just assembling parts in the correct order.

A great place to start is to buy the Gunplumber's video & workbooks. Costs $50 and it will show you almost everything (maybe everything) you need to know. And after you are finished you can usually sell them for +/- $40.

After watching the video and reading the book that came with it I built 5 FALs. And I never even held an FAL before so I really had no idea what I was doing. I just knew they looked cool in the pictures on the internet and I had to have one.
