I appreciate all the compliments, thanks. I worked hard on it Shootist, it seems quite tight and accurate, certainly more capable than I am. Generally around 2 MOA with Port with irons. Function is flawless set on "4". Probably have about 400 rds. thru her so far. I'm not the rifleman I'd like to be(workin' on it though)and my eyes seem fuzzier as time goes on I may look at some optics for this one in the future.Princeton, the wood was what prompted me to build another rifle to begin with Lee |
Thanks! I'll part company with neither the wood nor the rifle... Jesse is a fine guy, I'm looking forward to his mounts. They look to be a good idea. I like the slip on ARMS type design anyway but Jesse's should last longer with the receiver grooves and mount all one piece unlike the ARMS- Lee |
Thanks- The barrel is HK black duracoat. Pretty much everything else is 1200* Duplicolor ceramic header type paint baked on over park. After baking on I apply some oil to it and it ends up very similar to the duracoat. Seems pretty durable and resistant to Hoppe's etc. Thanks to everyone for the comments- Lee |
