I just received my parts set back from Sledgehammer from being park'd and it's time for an assembly.  The park was very nicely done, deep dark gray and Randy stated that he could match an Imbel receiver and that he did quite well.  The parts are an African / Imbel kit that I purchased from gunthings.com probably a year ago and it was a decent kit.  On this gun I decided to use a very crisp Argy chrome lined barrel that I'd been saving.

I built the lower first and used an FSE HTS that Gunplumber at Arizona Response System had finished.  I also installed a DSA fat inch style selector (US made) which I really like.  DSA pistol grip and a P806 refinished humpback buttstock.

The upper went together well also, only took about 30 min to get the barrel timed and installed.  I used a gear logo Imbel receiver that I had removed from an STG build and replaced it with a DCI receiver.  I left the locking shoulder in the Imbel, but made sure I rechecked the headspace.  Here is a pic of the barrel timing.

Awsome.......are you going to give it a Rhodesian/South African cammo paint job too, or leave it parked?

I'll probably leave this one park'd.  My cheap camera can't show how sweet that finish job is.

Nice!  Did you just use an open ended wrencj to time the barrel?  What size is it?  I've been using a barrel vise, but it crapped out on me so i think I'll just switch to the wrench method.

It's a 27 mm and had to remove a little metal so it would fit tight.  I also cut off the box end for a 3' breaker bar.

Its a beautiful rifle, and yes, the park does look great with these pics.  What was the total build cost?
