I am looking at a Hessie FAl with an 18" barrel currently and was wondering the general opinion of this companies rifles. Are they good bad or what ? Also how do I know if it is metric or not ? Thanks |

There was a guy at the range yesterday with an stg58 kit built on a Hesse receiver. He said he took it back to the dealer that built it 3 times because it would not eject. Well now it will not load or eject. Hesse=junk shit Strange thing happened when I got home last night a friend of a friend called and wanted to sell me his AR15 for $400. I asked what kind it was and he said could not make it out, jesse maybe. I told him it was a Hesse and no thanks. Weird two Hesse's in one day now this. |

I have an early, early, Hesse FAL and indeed it is an IMBEL reciever (Thank God!). Actually just about the entire rifle is non-Hesse, they just assembled it and sold it. Sent it out for a trigger job and to Arizona Response Systems for some work now it is excellent...I just wish I could remove the Hesse stamp from the receiver. |
| Though I would not buy a Hesse Product now...my early Hesse Falo carbine is an excellent rifle...yep you heard me excellent! After years of trouble free service it has never failed me. It is extremely accurate, as well. I guess i just got lucky. I thought about getting rid of it and getting a DSA...but why? The thing works great. Cannot justify it...other than the bad rep. It is a strange situation. |
