Black. I am a little miffed they shipped them so late, especially since I ordered shortly after the pre-order went live. Not as bad as many Pre-Orders, but honest shipping dates and delay updates are always appreciated. Mine has had movement - should be here Wednesday. |

Definitely want to confirm with SMS, but I'd be the torque spec is more along the lines of 30-35in/lb with the beefier hardware and lugs. |

| Got my tan today. Very favorable first impression. Can still access battery with a rein mounted on an arisaka SSM. Cloud dual switch did not work with the trinity unfortunately. Might go out sometime and compare the trinity to hfxc, peq15, peq2, and a VIR2. Slider takes more tension than I wanted but hopefully breaks in some. Buttons are good. Mode selector lever is pretty mushy. Hard to complain about anything when its a $375 laser. I have a feeling the defuser cap will have a short life. Slider having the same size and shape button as the fire button will need to be trained around. |

Just played with it tonight. Maybe I am doing something wrong but in any of the settings (ir or vis) if I have the slide switch to the rear it will not work. If I have it 90% back everything works fine. |

| Shot mine in about 30 weather at a 2 gun match. Short range, all bay type shooting. Laser is much too powerful even at its lowest setting. Im thinking of how to affix a ND filter over the laser now. Otherwise worked really well. I figured out that throwing illumination was a good way to tame the laser down a little. Illumination was extremely clean and my slider worked well in the cold. The selector switch needs some work, impossible to feel with gloves and the clicks are too mushy. |
4MR Ranch just did an update after testing a total of 3 units, and found some diode movement. You have to decipher the 5.56 vs 7.62 results, and also the possibility of the loose handguard, etc.  Too Good To Be True? | SMS Trinity Update SMS just posted an IG video showing the recoil tester they use, and they are aware of his video. So they are pretty responsive as a company. I think on the .308 SCAR it got knocked off 3.6" at 100 yds, but the 5.56 was good(?). Up to the end user to decide if the (current) drift for $300 on a non-precision device matters *to them*. |
