| If your current magwell adapter allows a 50* feed angle, and if the dedicated lower enables the attachment point to be ~2" higher, then the nut sack could be moved 1.68" to the right (2"/tan(50*) and still keep the same feed angle. Regardless, it will take much less offset to achieve a given feed angle with the dedicated lower. |

I'd also ad with the exception of making it fair into the L6 keep the lower as close to mil spec as possible. Don't need or see any reason for any kind of lightening cut outs. The simpler the better to keep your costs down. As far as a name... I don't really care but honestly I'm not in to fancy. That said, pick what you like and call it good. I would happily buy at least one of your dedicated lowers. Especially if the quality is on par with the L6 mag well adaptor I bought from you. Just out of curiosity, why do you think people are calling for an M16 fire control pocket? Is that not a low shelf? And have you ever used a beltfed AR? The ambi controls are definitely an advantage on the others that exist, to include the L6 |

It's unclear to me what advantage this lower would have over any other lower one might buy or build. Can someone also explain or direct me to an explanation of this "nutsack" people are referring to? It sounds like it's a Lima Six product, but I see no mention of it on the Lima Six web site. |
trobertson5-0 I wasn't put in jail for what I did. I was put in it for what I think. There were FBI agents posting in my threads. I've seen the discovery showing this.

A Lima 6 lower would have correct geometry for the upper, and have the ability to accept standard M249 ammunition feed devices. Like the nut sack. A simplified CAD file of the upper that has just the external geometry for getting the lower lined up is what I was thinking but yeah that does suck that people are going to be trash like that. If an NDA/Non-Compete would help you there I would happily sign one. Only other option would be to wait for orders to open again so I can get one on hand to use as a reference. |

Humble suggestion. But when you design the dove tail for the nut sacks if possible design it with a large open funnel for easy insertion. And not sure how all saw packs are made but the one I have looks to have steel tab for locking. Steel on a Aluminum lower in FA or Super safe is going to cause some movement and wear. May want to design a swappable locking block for that reason. Something that will allow a steel or polymer dovetail and have it stay in place with some roll pins or something user serviceable. View it as a consumable item. |

I'm assuming he will use 7075 and not 6061. If he uses 6061 that's a completely different story. |

| Does anyone think that it might be nice on these lowers to have either a pin or a hole that would allow a 1919 pintle or M60 gooseneck? Putting a Lima onto a full on tripod set up, particularly with the KAK water cooled kit, would be something pretty special I think. |

When we get the Ambii stuff sorted, we can see what's left to work with. |

I would recommend having the mounting point more forward on the gun. The more forward it is, the less the muzzle jumps from recoil. Your best bet is a cheap pic rail adapter to a 1919 pintle. But if you aren't already invested in military tripods, an arca rail and tripod with an arca clamp make the most sense price and practicality wise. You also want the mounting point as close to the Bore centerline as possible. As the higher the gun sits above the elevation mechanism. The more it'll jump. |

I suppose I should have said "pin or hole to facilitate T&E when using a pintle." A mount of some variety for t&e in the lower would let any handguard mounted pintle interact with it and give you full controllability. It may be best to try and make a platform style mount that mounts into the nutsack hangar and cantilevers forward to which you can attach both the pintle and T$E. Simplifies the lower and avoids populating the lower with features with only niche utility. It does mean that the nut sack hangar would be supporting all of the recoil stresses, which ain't great. |

For this project for now, lets add that as a "Stretch Goal" as they say in those big fancy corporate places. |

They emailed us all and asked us for our rifle's serial number. Then canceled my order before letting me reply. Saying that someone was trying to infringe on their patent. Good luck getting them delivered. They dont seem to like business. |

This way the plate can be removed when you're not doing tripod things, and it puts all the stress/strain on the lower rather than on the handguard and barrel nut. Aesthetics TBD. |
| now that I think about it. if this was left side charging it would make sense to do the xcr style but since its not. perhaps this is the better solution??? I still like the xcr style bolt release. its cleaner looking in my opinion. |
