I can't tell you guys how happy it makes me to see these rifles in commercial customers hands. So many times in the past with our product  our latest and greatest was not available to this customer base. Titelist, you gun looks fing killer. I hope it brings you happiness. I wish we could meet certain price points with or products so we could  bring our product to a wider audience/customer base but we will not sacrifice quality to accomplish this. I hope this the SR-15 E3 and the new SR-25 EMC reflect this.

I will gladly do a pictorial walk through on making those, Trey.

Trey, without getting in to the realm of fluffing, I want to say that we all appreciate what you guys do. You, Kevin, Cold, Casey, etc all really wear your products on your sleeve, and both take it personally in not only the pride, but the support of your products.

I bumped in to you outside the AAC booth at SHOT, you probably don't remember me, but I stopped you and thanked you for how great a product the SR-15 E3 IWS was (and still is). I frankly still stand by that statement. It's a fantastic gun. I don't think the SR-15/25s are the prettiest show guns (it's not machined to some automotive level of spotlessness in fit and finish), the SR-15s are accurate enough. In fact what they are is close to the most reliable out of the box weapon system on the market today. There's something really brutally honest about the SR-15. You pick it up, and it just WORKS. It just shoots, and shoots and shoots. It was never designed as a recce tack driver, it groups well, but it just keeps grouping. It never stops. It's the one gun in my collection where I could pick it up and just run it till my hands were bloody and bruised.

As an anecdote, at the last magpul carbine class, we had a guy with a POF rifle. It kept giving him issues (there's a reason it's been nick named the POFS), and between drills Costa walks up to me, "Isaac, go over and let Jeff shoot your SR-15. Let him see what the Ferrari of ARs shoots like." I think that says a lot when someone like Chris considers the SR-15 to be that potent and reliable a weapon system. When his rifle (non-KAC gun) was giving him some issues he'd just look over to me, wave his fingers, and he'd run the drill with my E3 IWS. As I said it just goes and goes and goes.

I'm really proud to finally own one of these SR-25s. I hope I can own another one down the line. Now hurry up and get that damn super tap out, Trey!

Also I determined that as great as the NF optic is on the SR-25, it just feels absolutely RIGHT in this config:

I think Costa was on to something!

They're KAC 11-rib panels. High level here, but you grind the ribs down flat to prepare the surface. Then using a wood burning kit you texture them. I usually go over them with a blow torch to take down any of that overly aggressive GRIP. You want it to be grippy but not cheese-grater.

Did you just use a single point on the wood burning kit? I have a a "mil-pack" and I'd like to do the entire pack like those. It'll just take a while doing random stippling.

Are those tan rail panels factory?

I need to contribute, 6k and once it broke in my SR-15 eats everything

3, I can't wait to get my hands on the Magpul edition SR-15, I was one of the first 50 to order. Now I just need to save the coin for an SR-25

on a not so good note, I went to sight in my Taupe SR-15 again and I think my URX shifted somehow, I'll have to call sometime during the week.

Kinda hard to see

This is where my gun zeroed at

Do you shoot left handed?  I took my SR-15 out and sighted it in over the weekend.  I am right handed, but left eye dominant so fire long guns left handed.  My rear sight was in a similar position when done, and almost all the way to the left when viewed from the rear of the gun.

I agree a 100% with you!!! Any chance you guys could make the SR15E3/SR25 with a lower that has a different name for us loyal KAC fans in California!!!! PLEASE PLEASE

Maybe call it with CA15E3 or CA25.... just a request. Being as we can now legally own Black Rifles in California again, Im sure your fan base would grow rapidly if we could buy your rifles.

Woo-Hoo Finally got me a complete SR-15 Lower thanks to Mr.Jeep297 hooking me up with the all mighty IM that lead to it's purchase lol.
Here's a shot of the lower along with a KAC Hand Stop on my LWRC M6A2. Can't wait to get the upper to go along with this beautiful lower.

And I must add, all these SR25 flicks are making me catch the KAC bug even more!

cheers.

SR25 EMC + LWRCi PSD 6.8x43. The PSD features a KAC handstop and the new KAC micro front BUIS (not visible).

Great hardware and photography skills.  Which SureFire mount are you using?  Does it appear that it would allow enough clearance for a Troy BUIS to deploy?

Cheers

Both rifles have a Danger Close Consulting Scout Light mount. On the PSD handguard, it will not allow a Troy front BUIS to fit. That's one of the reasons I went with a KAC micro front flip sight. The other reason is that it is just a great sight, and the light mount just gave me an excuse to grab one.

Of course, the SR25 has a built-in flip front sight, so no problems there.

Nice.  It looks like DC has updated their site since my last visit.  It's too bad the SCAR has the front sling attachment loops as the DC scout mount would be perfect.  I agree that the KAC micro front sight is nice.  Kudos again on your blasters....they are outstanding.

Cheers

You have to start somewhere. At least you own a piece of KAC gear...
