I may try barrel in the freezer next. I had to really heat mine up. First attempt went the same as yours. Got about half way then that bitch was *stuck*. I used a carry handle mounted at the back half of the upper's pic rail to hold the upper. Torch rotated around the front of the upper for about 3-4 minutes, maybe a little longer. Heated it evenly, and it went right on with no resistance. 30 seconds later it cooled enough that barrel was absolutely locked in place. It was tighter than my SOLGW reduced ID upper on a CLE barrel with an oversized extension. |

Finally got the coiled spring pin from KAC and my buddy hooked it up with a brand new *blano* 99051!! LB #40 is now shootable       I'm thinking of getting the ZC 420 T3 for it but 20x might be a little overkill for a 16" chrome lined 7.62.. |

5 years ago, today, at my old home, my SR-25 Lunchbox project began. I'd received the 1st of 3 shipments. I composed it with my only other Vero Beach KAC rifle, which was a partially accurate facsimile of the Christmas Cheer v1 rifle. Attached File Today, both of them are pictured. Attached File 2 sandcutter carriers. SOPMOD stocks The grips have swapped. One is factory dimpled, the other is Marvin dimpled. They both have scalloped selectors. I am on the hunt for a dimpled castle nut, because that would look perfect on the Lunchbox. I am very fortunate to have been a part of this endeavor, and KAC and III are some of the finest people in this industry. Being able to add this under stewardship is quite a blessing. |
