I understand the new gas block set-up will not fit under a URX 3.1, but is there any chance in hell KAC will offer some type of retrofit system specifically for the Legacy and MOD 1?

Dude, my barrel is totally shot out.    Tell me where to send the upper.

In all seriousness, this motivates me to launch more bullets. I might have to shoot up my stockpile this summer.

Why did I hear the A Team theme song after reading this?

Good to know.  I'm going to do my damnedest to shoot mine out.

Looks really slick, but how are all these threaded things retained? Everything threaded on the AR aside from the barrel nut is typically staked or loctited or Rocksetted.

Amazing. This really is a genuine improvement in the AR system.

I doff my hat to you, KAC.

The only way I could see this improved is if it had a suppressed setting.

Hey Kevin, maybe I missed it but what is the flange on the front of the gas block for? It almost looks like you can twist and attach something to it.

Has anybody released a comparison of the performance of the Mod1 vs the Mod2?  I can't find any reviews of the Mod2...

Out of curiosity, how much torque does one need to apply to the locking nut for the gas block and the socket screw that holds the gas tube in place?

I really would love to buy a MOD2 SR-15 16", but I have to use my funds for other items right now

I still would like an answer. I now am shopping for a new 16" AR vs SCAR 16 to run suppressed.

If I swap my urx4 rails, what tool will I need to remove the gas block nut?

Gentlemen,

Just bought a SR-15 Mod 2. Of all the pictures I've seen, the gas tube locking nut is screwed flush against the gas block. Mine seems to have a small gap:

Is this normal, or should I worry about it ?

Thanks
