Have someone Yank while you hold.

Hook feet on handle and left.

Take a rod and insert from muzzle and tap it out.

Sorry I don't care for the Otis.

Happened to me. It sucks when it happens. You'll probably need to pour lube down the barrel and pull insanely hard. I ruined a cable(Had to) this way by wrapping the cable around a nice piece of pipe for added pulling power. It'll probably be the cleanest your barrel ever has been when you're done though.

W-W, everyone either has or will get a cleaning patch stuck, it only takes time.

I think I broke the record speed to jam...I got the rifle about 30 hours before I jammed that patch!

Same thing happened to me and I'm not real crazy bout the Otis kit after all.  Lots of little pieces to mix and match and lose.  I think I'll just get a bore snake for basic cleaning sessions.

This may sound dumb, but...for years I have used a piece of grass trimmer string to run patches down the barrels of my Garands and M1A's.....cut a piece...light 1 end with a match to form a small round ball so the patch won't fall off...cut the other end on an angle with some wire cutters so you can pierce a patch and there you have it....usually works best with 2 patches on there....
Nice thing is you can roll it up and carry it in your pocket or buttstock to the range...
make a bunch of them so you never have to look for the one you just had...etc...just a thought

Thanks for the great idea.  I'm going to try it later today!

They make a device called a Bore-Snake.
Easy to use and easy to store.
I have them for all the calibers I shoot and throw one in each of my cases to use at the range.
Available thru Brownells, Midway, and several other supply houses.

I have Bore-Snakes for every pistol calaber I have...I placed an order .223 and .308 but it take a few days to get here.

I got lucky a few years ago.
A dealer at one of the shows ran a special and I picked up a bunch of them for about $5.00/each
I stocked up on the ones that I thought I may need in the future.

That's a great price.  I'm paying 13.95 each!
