I have a Springfield M1a National Match 22 inch that I am wanting to suppress. So far I have the AAC 51T mount and am getting ready to purchase the GLFS-D-22 Dovetail to relocate my sight. Are there any other items I need to purchase to ensure that my rifle functions while being suppressed?  I am using the AAC 7.62 SD if that makes a difference.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

look up the blank firing adapter to prevent gas blowback in your face!

can anyone speak to whether he needs an adjustable gas block?

If your stripper clip guide is available, you will want to use the M3 Breech shield.

An extra volume gas plug from Smith Enterprise is all I have used, but I also use a Wind Talker sound suppressor...

I haven't fired mine suppressed left handed.
I'm interested to know how it works out for you.

I have had one suppressed for several years . Replace the recoil spring often , buy a Wolffe extra power version , Add a recoil buffer , I added an adjustable gas block. I do not have it dialed in yet . It is a huge improvement from my early shooting . Any questions feel free to ask

Curious, how does the 22" suppressed feel?  Does it get extra heavy feeling towards the front?

The suppressor will add 1 or 2 pounds to the front of the rifle... better suited to a supported firing position, but you can still manage shooting offhand.

My Wind Talker is much more user friendly for general purpose use when it's on my 16.25" M14.

Finally got a chance to shoot it suppressed on Sunday. Shooting left handed suppressed is pretty bad, its like a wall of gas in your face.  I turn the gas system off and shoot it like a straight pull bolt gun and it shoots like a charm. My front sight relocation piece will be in today so after I install that piece I will post up some pictures.

What gas block did you go with? With the adjustable block you can slow the blowback of the bolt in order to allow less gas in my face? I will pick up some spare recoil springs as well.

That is the best method.

I do not think it makes it heavy feeling at all, it kind of balances the rifle. My wife picked it up expecting it to be really heavy and was amazed at how light it was compared to some of my bolt guns.
