| So I'm gonna buy a garand from the CMP along with some ammo, it will be my first ever purchase from them. I am using the money from my tax return, which I was told to expect in "approximately three weeks". I understand CMP's lead time is pretty long right now, I don't currently have the money to pay for the rifle/ammo. Should I send in my order anyway, I figure the wait will be more than a month, and they don't charge until they ship so I would be ok, or does this sound like a foolish risk? |

General rule of life is don't buy stuff if you don't have the money. I sent mine in about a month ago. It took them about 3 weeks to acknowledge they had received it, and said it will be another 30 to 60 days. Yup, same here on the timeframes. Same here |

Same here Is it 30-60 days for the whole process (mail order received to ship date), or is it after they confirm it? ETA- Mailed off on 1/23/12, order confirmation received today, 2/8/13. |
