I sent in the order for a SG M1D last week... time to start hunting down the accessories, though I think those purchase are going to have to be spaced out lest the wife kill me.

very nice. Where'd you source your parts? Average price seems to be about 800 for scope/mount and about 150 for an original cheekpad on ebay.

I PCS sep 2013 so I got a little over a year to get parts.

I dunno where you'd get parts. I got what I needed at the funshow, but that was a while back.

This was the last lottery they held.

course in 2000 I was graduating highschool and then working my first job in the refinery. Also the year I bought my first firearm... a K98k mauser with a shot-out barrel but it was fun to put rounds through. (still got it... just need a GS to rebarrel it and mount a scope).

Jesus! I remember Sarco selling good condition M-1D's in the early 90's for $3500 or so if memory is correct.
