I have a 136XXX serial numbered M1A "loaded" that I am considering selling. I bought this rifle new and still have the box and paperwork. It has about 250 rounds through it and has been a safe queen for the most part. It is in mint condition.

I'm wondering what would be a fair price to ask for this rifle.

Thanks!

What model is it? Mine is a MA9103. Knowing the model number helps.

A quick peruse of GB shows prices from $1500.00 to $2200.00 depending on the model of "Loaded M1A".

That will probably be on the end of the box? I'll have to go out to the garage and grab it and take a look.

Here

and here

Used would be slightly lower.  If you have usgi parts maybe higher.

Yeah, it sounds like it depends a lot on the amount of USGI parts it has. I thought the serial number might give more of an indication of the USGI parts content. I guess I'll need to tear it down and see exactly what it has. I know the bolt says TRW on it.

Thanks guys!

That's a +$100.

With a usgi op-rod I'd bet it's close to all usgi.  You really can't go by year of production.  I have seen real early rifles with all SAI parts.

Pull the op-rod back and look at the right side of the barrel for any GI marks.  Check the bolt.  You can't be 100% about the gas cylinder.  The flash hider is either forged (usgi) or cast.  Most older rifles have a usgi FCG.
