Hi all title says it all I will be placing an order with CMP for a Service Grade M1 to those who have received orders recently which if you as a Father of two great boys would you get the SA or the HRA it will be a shooter. Also there will be 2 stainless steel plate engraved and mounted on the stock 1 honoring WW2 and the Korean War dedicated to there Grandfathers who each one fought in one of these wars.
Also on the other side of the stock same thing but to honor 911 and the Brothers I lost they have been reading numerous post on the condition of both and they do not know which one they should order any input would be greatly appreciated and yes this question came up about 2 months ago( but the funds just came in now) but then they were going to have the stocks engraved but Phil from cmp gave us this great suggestion on using the stainless steel plates and have those engraved thank you in advance to all it is greatly appreciated.

I chose HRA mainly because there were fewer made and I was lucky enough to get a great rifle with original GI wood.
You really can't go wrong with either...the late model (>5 million ser. no.) Springfields that they seem to be putting out with this batch of rifles are real lookers too. |
