will the g.i. stabilizer, mount on a m1a

           to the best of my knowledge the M-14E2 stabilizer will not lock on without the bayonet lug. You need a Flash Suppressor with a bayonet lug on it.But make sure that your M-1A is preban before you attach it to the gun.

You need the Combo tool and the bayo. lug for the stabilizer to attach to the rifle. If you are looking for a muzzle break Springfield armory has "Cali-legal" breaks that look just like the stablizer but they thread on the barrel replacing the flashhider instead of slipping over.

Also note E2 muzzle brake is a grenade launcher...

I don't think so.  You need to place a grenade launcher over the flash hider.  The muzzle brake is not a grenade launcher in any manual I ever read.

Measure the dia. They are .862 (22mm). The BATF determines if it's a launcher by size.

you couldn't launch a grenage with the stabilizer.  ther is no way to hold the grenade onto there.
