I got a new SA M1A Loaded with Full Length Cluster Rail (SA & VLTOR marked) and I would like to know what all is involved in removing the upper section from the barrel/receiver. (and replacing it with a standard fiberglass handguard) Does anyone out there know?

I think it's locked in place by a bolt that scews into the scope mount dovetailed on the left side of the receiver. After that you just swing it up and off. I don't own one, but that's how it appears in the pictures I've looked at.
Why do you want the standard handguard after paying extra for the Vltor? |
