I put a little bit of work into this, but it was originally a CMP SG rifle.

I did it myself, but yes it's reparked. It had worn "greek black" blueing when I got it.

These are from my trip over to CMP a few weeks ago. They were in the FG rack but both have ME of 1.5 and TE of 2.5.  I shot the 261XXXX after a good cleaning and it shot well with HXP.

Thank you. I was stunned when I opened the box. I had ask for a nice post war with a nice USGI stock.
The person who filled my order must have been in a great mood.

Got mine all cleaned up, and ready to roll out to the range.  Finally got the confirmation that my cleaning kit and ammunition from CMP is on the way.

So here she is, with a new sling, along with a little friend I picked up.  Seemed so lonely without it...

1943 SA Reciever, 1952 Barrel, in great shape...

Got mine today:
Surely a Greek return, it has TZYFKOS written in pen on the stock.
It looks good!

Picked this one up at the north store, July 2007.
5.9 SA SG, 65 barrel, 66 L.E.A.D. rebuild. MW and TE both below 2. The stock was an ink stamp GAW and looked like it was finished with old motor oil.  It had a Danish tag in the channel but no disc in the stock. Sold the GAW for $175.00 and put this CMP walnut set on her. Any shine on the metal in the pic is from the camera. The gray/green park is REALLY nice. Pretty much not a shiny spot on the entire rifle.

Also picked up two cases of clipped ammo that day. Something like $0.26 a round. Ordered two more cases boxed when the first increase hit. Who woulda thunk it?  Wish now I had bought 10 cases that first day.
