CMP's North Store is in Port Clinton, OH.  How far is that from you?  One used to be able to buy just receivers via mail without having to go to the Store itself.

You can find receivers on Gunbroker all the time.  Be mindful though that a receiver is considered a firearm and must be transferred IAW applicable federal and state laws.  A receiver is also not considered a complete rifle, so it also loses its C&R status and must be transferred through an 01 FFL.

What kind of shape are they in? I remember looking at them a year or so ago, and their stripped receivers looked pretty rough.

If it comes through the CMP , it does not have to go through a FFL , or , at least the complete rifle does not .

God bless
