its big, but comfortable.  cheek weld is awesome.  it think it'd  be great on a bush/scout or socom.  plus it looks awesome.  i do prefer a standard, non-collapsing stock on them though.

I have a 22" barreled one in mine.

It is heavy but like it.  I put a Magpul CTR on it recently (replaced a Magpul PRS) and it has worked okay so far.  It is a bit too light for a 22" rifle but other than that, it's good.

I'm in the same boat as you.  Deciding whether to get the Troy or something else.  But I'm like 90% sure I'm getting the Troy with the PRS stock.

im gonna send mine back tomorrow.  i realized after less than a week that i needed the money more.  I got it from law 483 enterprises.  he's out now, but he's going to refund my money minus shipping.  I bought it for 575 from him.  I also have an A2 stock and A2 grip for it.  let me know if anyone's interested before i send it back tomorrow.  i'm pretty sure they're all gone for 575 right now.  PM or email if interested.  i'll save someone a step.

Maverick,

Just out of curiousity, what did you plan on doing with your front sight post?  I see that the Troy kits come with flip up sights, however the standard sight on the M1A is kind of connected to the muzzle break.  So were you planning on taking that off and replacing the break?  I would think keeping it there + having the flip-ups would look a little silly.

the troy chassis doesnt come with flip ups unless like you said, you buy the kit.  its more expensive as a kit from the troy site.  i have just the chassis thats going back tomorrow.  if i was going to put flip ups, i would buy the vortex without the front sight connection.  however, with just the scope, the plain old FH/ front sight looks fine.

I also think the MCS looks best with a Vltor or similiar collapsible stock. This chasis is great because if your a AR guy- there is so much for you to choose from in the AR toy market.

its not very comfy, though it looks cool with a collapsible.  too front heavy otherwise and is only comfortable when fully extended.
