Should it be tighten with a tool.Right now mine spins almost 1/2 way around to top to be tight,then I bring it back to line up with the screw.This leaves the front sight lose.Is it time for new lock?Thanks for any help.

Shim it. Your gas lock should come around snug at around 4 or 5 o'clock. You can purchase shim's from Fulton,Smith, RA parts. Which will allow you accomplish this
