My CC was billed on Friday for my order of CMP ammo. I just received an email today stating it shipped!  I ordered it on April 28 so they are right at about a 3 month delay (not too bad given the overwhelming number of orders they are receiving). For some reason I had a lack of judgment and only ordered 5 cans so I am now ordering 5 more to meet my yearly max. I received an email yesterday from CMP though stating that on Sep 1 their shipping and handling for ammo will be increasing to $9.95 a can so if you're wanting to order some ammo I suggest you do it before 1 Sep so that you can save yourself a bit of money. Just thought I'd pass this tid-bit of info on in case any of you did not receive the email.
Edited to add: It's only $1 more per can starting on 1 Sep so it's not a huge change but hey, 10 cans = $10 so you might as well save yourself a bit. |

Right on target. I received my ammo shipments of 30.06 two weeks ago and the .30 Carbine on Friday. 3 months is generous. This is the email I received from them. –– snip –– ORDER BACKLOG. For the past nine months, the number of orders received by CMP for rifles, ammunition, and all other products has been unprecedented. As of today, 31 July 2009, our Sales Order Processing Dept is up to processing / shipping orders received at the end of Apr 2009, with several thousand orders still to go for May - July. The number of incoming orders has decreased enough so that customers should expect an acknowledgment of our receiving orders about 30 days after mailing the order. However, customers should not expect delivery for 90 - 120 days from date order was placed. We ask our customers to bear with us. We will eventually recover from this surge. The CMP staff thanks you for your support and patience. |
