Yes, but they have not been offered in a long time.

York begin the units in steel, then later they where made out of aluminum.

You pulled the rear sight, and the back end of the mount was attached between the receiver sight ears.  Both the front and rear of the mount had set screws that you tightened to keep the mount solid (the steel units retained this tension a lot better than the later aluminum units).  As for the clips, since the mount blocked a standard clip from being loaded downward, a modified clip was sold with the unit (both 8 and 3 round clips), which you loaded it while in the rifle, and it did not eject after the last shot out.

check   S&K SCOPE MOUNTS  they make a pretty good mount for the garand
