Anyone use one of these on a National or Supermatch? What are the accuracy stats?

I've got a Vltor Modstock on a 18.5inch LRB/Criterion combo.  The thing to keep in mind about useing the vltor modstock is that your rifle will likely preform in it the same was as it would in a normal, plain jane usgi fiberglass stock (because that's what they use to make the vltor).  The same rifle will preform differently in different usgi fg stocks, and stock actually.  You could very well put the rifle in a vltor stock and get acceptable results.  Or, you may not get the results you want/expect.  Ideally when getting a stock for your rifle (that wont be bedded) you should try as many stocks as possible to find which one best fits your rifle.  You dont have that option with the vltor stock, you buy one and they send it to you.  Once again, there's a chance it may fit really well, but there's a chance that it may not.

For instance, my Vltor stock is slightly canted to the right.  This is not vltors fault, the stock was like that before the modified it.  My problem was that I used a pre-unitized gas cylinder on the build.  As a result the rife was wearing quickly in the stock ferrule/front band area.  The solution was to replace the cheaper gas cylinder with a non-unitized version.  Haven't shot it yet, But I expect it will be less accurate.

One last thing.  A 22 inch medium weight or heavy weight barrel (supermatch) will be really font end heavy.  My 18.5 inch barrel is medium weight and is front end heavy.

Don't know if this helped.  Let me know if you have any more questions about the Vltor
