Thought I might post here as well since the scope fits the gun.

This scope came on a gun I purchased a while ago. I finally looked it up but can't find much info. Is this original or a reproduction? How much is it worth. The glass is really clear, there is a little surface rust but it could probably be cleaned up. The rings are Weaver tip off if that matters.

The Long-Range War Sniping in Vietnam by Peter R. Senich has a fair amount of information on this scope.  It looks original but I'm not an optics guru.  The M84 scope was used on M1, M14 and bolt action sniper rifles in Viet Nam by the U. S. Army and U. S. Marine Corps.

Looks original to me. A quick net search says these go for 600-700 bucks. Even reproductions go for around $400
