Can anybody tell me what a KMT brand means I have a couple of mags and a scope mount with the marking of a K with an m and t inside the K

KMT is the manufacturer identification for Killeen Machine & Tool (Worcester, MA).

Is this a former USGI contractor? Where could I find a value for the scope mount?

Killeen Machine & Tool was a USGI contractor in the 1960s. They made M14 magazines, safeties, butt plate assemblies, operating rod spring guides and late style trigger guards. I'm not familiar with the KMT brand of scope mount.
