Hey all,
I'm getting ancy over my Garand order. I ordered it on 2/4/09 and am trying to wait patiently. Anyone know what the turn around time is? Also, anyone know when I'll get an email confirming my order? Thanks y'all.

Take a deep breath, drink a few beers, take a nap.....for about two months....awake to the doorbell and the man in brown bearing gifts. Once you get your confirmation email it will be about 60 days. dont bother calling it only ties things up for the rest of us..relax if you buy it...it will come. |

I believe they are still on December 1st orders. People on the CMP forums are keeping track of where they are at. You should eventually get an email that basically says we got your order but don't bother us so we can spend time processing rather than answering phone calls and emails.
I'd expect at least 2 months, probably more. |

They are processing orders received in and round the 6th of Decemeber '08. It's still going to be awhile.
The Dec 1st hammering they took on orders, 4000 came in on one day-the Winchester M1's were released for sale-has them backed up, not to mention the panic on ammo. They are working their butts off to get caught up and they will.. Also, anyone know when I'll get an email confirming my order? Thanks y'all.I got lucky and got in on the Winchester Service Grade rush. Sent my order for a Winne carbine and Garand the last week of Nov, and recieved an "Order Recieved" email on Dec 10th that they had recieved my order on Dec 1st. Next correspondence from CMP was an "Order Shipment" email on Feb 13 acknowledging they were processing my order. On 2-17 got the "Shipping Confirmation" email...next day the white truck came with two rifles and a box of 6 carbine mags. Not to hijack, I was a little disappointed in the Garand, but maybe I shouldn't be. I've purchased a number of HRA correct rifles as well as a couple SA service grades. They all came with used stocks. This Winchester came with one of the new CMP stocks....I kinda like the "used" look, and if I wanted new I'd probably buy one of Wenig's thru Dean. This CMP stock is nice, don't get me wrong, but the Wenigs are really nice if a person wanted new. The reciever is vintage 1941, with an SA bolt and bbl. I recently moved and haven't been able to locate my TE and ME gauges, and I've not taken the rifle down yet. If I could take the time to figure out my new camera and relearn the photobucket crap, I'd post pics....but don't hold your breath. By the way, the carbine mags have plenty of cosmoline to clean off, but because they were well preserved, they are in mint condition....I was very pleased with them and immdiately ordered a dozen more |
