Has anybody had any issues with this mount on a Springfield M1A standard. Issues with it not fitting well or ejection issues? I've heard good things about this mount and the price is right. I've heard the the springfield receivers aren't mil-spec and I want to make sure that I get a mount that will make a soild platform.

What is the born on date of your M1A.  Could make a difference.   My 1998 Loaded did not have any issues with the #18 nor the Sadlak she currently wears.

If you're unsure you can buy the kit from Sadlak to test your receiver for wether or not its in spec. I think it was only about $5. The ARMS fit my SAI rifle as well as my LRB.
As far as ejection issues I cut the rail out before I ever put it on my rifle.

My old man liked the ARMS mount, but their throw lever rings were shit. when set on the mount, it could be moved forward or back a little bit. Enough to throw off accuracy. HE has to make sure he's either pushing forward or back when he clamps it, otherwise the accuracy suffers.

Personally I have never had an issue, but yes, SAInc put out some recivers that the geometery was off and affected the scope mounts. I have M1As from s/n 50,xxx - 200,000 and they have all worked great w/ ARMS #18 mounts.

Right now I have a couple of range rifles: a Bush s/n 156,xxx and a Loaded s/n 207,xxx that have the #18s and both hold zero great.... Like someone else asked, what is the s/n? There is a pretty accurate list of the s/n range that has had issues mounting scopes....

I just got an email back from SA inc. and they said the rifle was manufactured in Jan. '09. I just purchased it Jan 15th. So the rifle had a 2 week manufacture to shelf turn around.?. This thing must still be green inside!!!
