Check the gun auction sites now and then, or the sale boards.  I sold one a few months back with the sling and all hardware for $275.00.  I doubt you'd do better than that for one in good shape.  I am planning to get the McMillan M2A with the adjustable cheekpiece, but the backlog is about 4-6 months.  IMHO, McMillan stocks are THE best.

Another vote on McMillan.  They are good to go.  I have handled the USMC DMR M14 rifle and feels solid.  I like the pistol grip and adjustable cheekpiece.

It's expensive, but you get what you payfor.

Depends what you want.  In original form it was used to tame full auto fire, so if you want that get a USGI with the front grip and hinged butt plate.  For a sniper rifle you don't need the front handgrip and hinged butt plate so you can get one much cheaper, or if you buy a complete stock you can EASILY sell the parts.  They make nice stocks for sniper rifles, as used in Viet Nam.

MacMillan charges WAY too much.

Fred's is simply the way to go.  They are used (in great condition), but they are USGI.
