| How hard is it to break down a SA M1A trigger assembly and smooth it out, I have looked for some instruction but it's seems to be limited |
| I can attest to them smoothing up over use. I have put about 3500 rounds through my all SAI m1a and now the trigger is very crisp, and breaks cleanly but has lightened up to only about 3 pounds of resistance when I had it checked last. This has been causing me to double in some cases so I am going to send off my usgi trigger group and have the crazy horse trigger job performed on it. |
Crazy Horse Trigger Job ? and where and what is that |
|
It is done by smith enterprise out of arizona. They replace the springs in the trigger group, also they replace the trigger and hammer pins with more durable pins and perform a national match trigger job that is supposed to last thousands of rounds. It is the same trigger job that is performed on the the Smith Enterprise crazy horse rifles they build for the military. You can also get the trigger group m80 heat treated which will also add to the durability of the trigger group. Smith Enterprise |
