his Should he cut the gas plug or shim the gas cylinder but then the gas port wont line up. any helpful ideas ? |

Buy some shims. Take off the gas cylinder and put the shims between it and the barrel ridge. That should fix it. Sounds like the barrel may be machined ever so slightly shorter that it should be. You're not going to put it out far enough the gas port won't line up. Or you can shorten the gas plug like you said. |
