Guys what can I do to make my M1A action tighter to the Walnut stock? The trigger guards seems to be the only thing that tightens and seems kind of easy to undo the trigger. I know about bedding but seems to hard to mess with.

Is there anything easy I can do ?

Thanks

Underneath the heel of the receiver (where the SN is behind the rear sight) place a piece of plastic (old credit card, plastic bottle, etc to shim the fit between the heel and wood stock..
Some people take sand paper and fold it over and use if tor a shim.
Of course, make sure it is not stick out from under the metal.
You may have to play with different thicknesses to get the best fit.

You want to make sure that the front ferrule sits against the bottom of the front band and the heel of the receiver fits up against the stock.  You don't want things fitting TOO tight, because you could damage your trigger group.  The "hooks" that engage the legs of the receiver, the ones that extend from the trigger guard, could be damaged if you need to use excessive force to get them to engage the legs.  If you put the stock aside, and try to engage the trigger group to the receiver, you'll see what I'm talking about.
