Hello!
I recently purchased a Krieger Heavy Barrel for my m14.  It is now installed and needs some reaming jobs.
Iam planning to use only M118 LR  (175 grs. LC)  ammos in it.
What reamer should i use?  should i buy the .308 match reamer offered by Clymer?
Can i still use military ball ammos in it?    and forget about using Commercial Match ammos altogether?
Please help.

Thanks a lot & more power!

Here is the dimensional differences between 308 and 7.62x51:

That picture should help you decide.

I don't know if this will help, but all of my SEI builds have M118LR chambers that allow me to shoot whatever .308/7.62 I can find.

In the past 30 years, I have shot out over a dozen M1A barrels made by Douglas, Hart, SAK, or Krieger. All have had a standard chamber (either GI or .308 Win SAAMI). Bullets used were 168 gr SMK or (mostly) 173, 175, 178, or 180 gr. Lately, I have seen the availability of the " M118LR" chamber configuration; however, I can find no technical description of what it is. It may be just a marketing gimmick, but it "appears" that it is just another .308 chambering with a longer throat to accept hotter loadings (like the 5.56mm Wylde chambering). I have inquired from SEI and received a nothing answer that didn't address the question.
