Saw one at my local gunshop yesterday - they had 3, brand new. What's the skinny on these?

Are these the ones with the cast Lithgow(Austrailia's version of Springfield Inc.) receivers? I've heard good and bad about the Lithgow receivers.

Lithgow rings a bell, but I can't be sure.

The gunshop was Harry's in Robbinsville, NJ

Lithgow is evil, completely and utterly evil.

Which is to say, there are some specs that are not quite... right, and can cause dangerous repercussions.

The lug index is incorrect, and the firing pin recess cut is not deep enough, meaning the first keeps the bolt from lockng properly, and the recess cut not having enough room can actually cause the firing pin to hammer weld itself in the forward position.....   I do not think we need further explanation on why that is not wanted.....

USGI is the only way to go or maybe Breda or Beretta (I own all) and I will heartily recomment them

IIRC lithgow made the century recievers....  cenury are not good so it would be logical that lithgow are not good either.
