He guys, With the non-availabilty of Springfield and Fulton receivers, what's the general opinion on Armscorp? I think I already know, but what specific issues do they have? Thanks in advance! |
| Ones that I've seen have had casting voids, flashing at mold seams, and generally poor surface finish. One rifle built by them that I saw had the receiver tilted a slight amount to the side in the stock (bedded match rifle). The magazine slid in but snapped to the side when it locked up. Due to the binding, it was hard to remove. My SGM took it into the ARMSCORP store at Camp Perry during the Nationals and bitched. They said they would replace it. "Just take your pick of what's in the rack". He handed over the old rifle, took his pick, and went out the door. How's that for no unnecessary paperwork. |
Sarco was selling Armscorp seconds years ago. I've heard similar stories about those. Otherwise, Armscorp makes Fulton's receivers, if that means anything to anyone. Numrich has Armscorp receivers fo runder $400.00. The one I've seen was beautiful. |
| That receiver must have been one of the seconds that they used to let out. Selling seconds, I believe was a big mistake on their part. I own two rifles built on Armscorp receivers, and I have to say that the fit and finish on these two are very good. Also, the rifles are very accurate and reliable. I have ordered another one, and I will probably build a match rifle with it. There has been a group buy going on, for Armscorp M14 receivers on M14Firingline, and it has been very successful. You won't go wrong with one of these new Armscorp receivers. |
