Got delivery of a few spam cans of the boxed Greek HXP that CMP is selling.  Seems every box there are a few rounds that have some light corrosion on the cases.  It will buff smooth with some steel wool no problems, though it does still leave dark spots on the case where it was.  Is this safe to fire, or should I toss it?  Hate to have to throw out 20-50 rounds of the 240 can.

I'd clean it up and shoot it.

I'd see what the brass looked like after I fired a few and decide from there if I was going to keep the brass, but I'd definitely fire the rounds unless the corrosion was quite bad.

Tumble, Shoot.

Or just shoot.

I got some of the boxed HXP that was that way and just shot it with no issues.

I got some 54 Twin Cities stuff that looked pretty skunky, steel wooled it out and since I saw no pitting, ran it thru my Garand. Shot perfectly fine and I gave the fired cases to a friend who has reloaded them several times for a 1917.

If the brass is smooth after a light buffing with steel wool I don't worry anymore personally.
