I am about to be the proud new owner of a Springfield Scout Squad.  I have ordered a rail from fulton armory that will let me put a QD bi pod under the front of the stock.  I ordered the LaRue QD mount and now all I need is a bi-pod.  So here is my question.  Which one should I get?  I want it for bench shooting.  Should I get the swivel base?  What length?  Please give reasons as to which you choose and why.  Pics are also welcome.

Get the 6 to 9 inch.  Anything taller is harder to hold steady.  6 to 9 allows you to rest the stock on your non-shooting arm by crossing it under the stock and locking your hand on your shooting arm.  Helps keep your shooting arm lower to the bench easier than a taller Bi-Pod.  Makes a good platform for bench shooting.

Thanks Track.  Swivel base or Solid base?
