Hi I have seen a couple of FAQ's (like on the Fulton Armory site) stating there are a lot of counterfit 30 round magazines, can I get some more tips on how to tell? Any suggestsions on a good source for the magazines? Thank you Richard |

First of all, you are MUCH better off with 15 rounders. They are what was initially intended to be used. Even USGI 30 rounders are more problematic then 15 rounders all other thing being equal. That said if you want 30 rounders, Coles and the likes do get them in, you'll have to check with them tho. Write down the name of real USGI manufacturers and look for those, there are several manufacturers of them and all true USGI mags will be marked. Place an ad in the EE, you might score nicely. With the CMP selling carbines, decent mags are sellig at higher prices then of yore and supply is down. It won't get any better as far as I can see for a while. Good luck. |
