I thought I would post pics of probably my most underappreciated M1 Garand. While Winnies, IHCs, and WWII Garands get most of the attention, there are still rifles out there that need the love.

Added a few more.

This one is amusing,

Funny you should say that. One of my favorites is a SA ser#42929XX that went through rebuild in the 60s at Red River Army Depot. It has some good looking wood, as well as that nice gray/green park that is good to look at.

Now that the Winchester is done my '42 SA is now the focus of my attention.  It will be making a trip out to SAi very soon for a re-park and I'll be picking up a new stock for it, either another Wenig from DGR or a set of CMP wood... havn't decided yet.

Springfields are the highest quality in my opinion. I know mine is fantastic.

HRA are widely regarded as the "highest quality" of M1's, followed by SA, then IHC and finally WRA, but of course that is debatable.  All were phenomenal rifles.

Out of all of my M1's my favorite shooter is a RIA rebuilt 4.3 mil SA.

H&R's are nice and I had 14 of them at one point but the postwar SA's are nicely built Garands too...
