So yesterday  get home from work......lets start from the top

in November I purchased a used M1A standard. The owner told me the rifle was flawless, so I bought it. It was a severely busy winter and I didn't get a chance to try it out until May...(insert BS excuses here) anyway, The rifle jams twice on me, When I say jam, it is partially in battery with a live cartridge in the chamber. the hammer is resting against the bolt. I did not pull the trigger. only twice so I dismissed it to lack of lube.

2 weeks later I again go to fire the rifle, same thing except this time it does not pick up a cartridge and still locks up partially in battery. the bolt is bound up in the reciever. a friend mentions to me to call SAinc. and tell them to fix it.........I call them, spoke with a guy named Mitch. I state it is a used rifle. He looks up the serial number and tells me to send it in...I'm thinking WOW. So I send the rifle off on a Weds...it arrives on a Friday. I get home yesterday and my rifle is waiting on me. 1 Week...I am humbled.

the invoice reads, New operating rod spring, new magazine catch, new mag catch spring, Refit gas cylinder.

I will have to take it out and see if this cures my problems... Ideas?

Make sure you use good USGI mags.

Or at least mags that are known to work.  Bad mags can be a big part of misfeeds, etc.  And there are alot of crap ones out there.  I've never had any problems with the 10 round factory ones.  FWIW.
