Gentlemen,
This file gives us a look at powder on hand Dec. 1939. Notice lbs per week. There are other files asking to increase. Again as WW2 has started in Sept. 1939 There were alot of changes going on at US Ordnance.
If you have time please reply to this data. I think you will find it of interest.

So if my math is right, 15,000 lbs of powder per week would be about 2,100,000 cartridges manufactured per week. My math was 7000 grains per pound, and 50 grains per cartridge per TM43-0001-27. That is a lot of ammo
