Excellent pictures! I had an instructor class all day, and will have it again all day sunday, everything seems to be breaking down around me (truck, furnace, refrigerator), so the suck meter is on high. Got home today about 630 and I had an email from the CMP! They had recieved my order on the 30th, so all the bad things went away for a short while I hope my carbine looks somewhat in the ballpark of being that nice! I've talked about it so much that my girlfriend is excited now too, so she can shoot it. I told her it was little like the M4 and shot a small round, but would still make a nice boom. As long as it makes a boom, she wants to shoot it. |

Excellent job, Larry; those are the best pics I've ever seen, plus you have Orest in them (now I can put a face with the name); lotsa carbines, that makes me hopeful in receiving my Inland (placed order on the 30th). Man, I really have to make another road trip to Anniston; need to add an 03A3 and maybe a couple more carbines to my stable. First it was BRD, then it was 1911-itis; now I have a full blown case of C&R-itis with a severe case of WW2 reenactment-itis. Doc! Am I gonna die??? Well, I'm single, so at least I'll die a happy, single guy. |

Very informative. "A picture is worth a thousand words." Please tell us you saw more ammo stacks than what you posted pics of. Looks (from the pics, anyway) like just a couple corners of a huge building or two contain any ammo at all. Not trying to start a panic...I just would have expected to see more ammo. Again, nice pics. Thanks for posting. Best regards. |
That was in one building. There were more in that building that I did not shoot pics of plus there are two other buildings and several trailer loads awaiting unloading. Plus Orest said there was plenty more on the way. |
I was going to reply that I can't recall, but after giving it much thought, I recall that it was Greek in 20 round boxes but not in spam cans. What was oddball was that there were some 40 round boxes in that crate. Like I said, until you asked, I had kind of dismissed it, but your asking made me think about it (damn, that hurts) and I recalled what it was. There was a very small number of those crates, only those shown in the pictures. Like I said, it took Orest by surprise. He had never seen those crates and he had never seen the 40 round boxes. I don't know if they will be offered up for sale, but one think to keep in mind is that they have not been sealed all these years like the other Greek in the spam cans. |
Is it possible that that was Greek .303 Enfield? |
Could be, I just didn't pay that much attention to it. It is definitely Greek though. |

You Jersey guys need to get on the other side of the river and come to PA...less people, less trash, and we can get pretty much whatever we want... Larry, great pics. Hope to make it out to the North store sometime later in the year so i can further my addiction... |
Got a spare bed room? I come with 30+ firearms and 15k+ rounds of ammo I dont smoke and dont drink much!

+1, then perhaps some of the non-gun people in Philli can go to Jersey... Thanks for posting the pics... I am not really interested in buying a carbine but it is great to see what the operation is all about. I wish the drive to the North store was not so long... |
