Is there much of a difference between the two? If so, what other then price? From What I understand they are manufactured on USGI tools. I only have USGI now and was thinking of buying some T57s. GF |

Genuine T57 magazines were made in Taiwan on Taiwan supplied equipment. The Government of Taiwan did not receive the machine tools to make the M14 magazine or M14 flash suppressor from the U. S. government. This is discussed in R. Blake Stevens' book on the M14. IMO, buy Check-Mate Industries magazines from www.44mag.com I'll post some trivia on USGI M14 magazine springs in another post that you might find interesting. |

I have a pile of T57 mags and aside from some light surface rust on about 1 out of 10 of them, they're great mags IMHO. I have a Summer project planned out, sitting on the deck with a cool beverage and my Dremel, buffing the rusty spots off, and then re-bluing them. |
