Gentlemen, Winchester always had problems with their Production of the M1 Garand. Here are two files about some of these Production Problems. Remember, this is April of 1942 and Winchester was building M1 Garand's for over a year. We are at WAR as of Dec. 1941.   Warning, before you go to my sites lower your volume as the opening page contains a sound file which has a loading and firing of the M1 Garand.
