I wish they would make a 7.62x39 Drum mag with feedtowers for AK's and 7.62x39 AR's as well.

I think a BM59 would be a smarter gun to manufacture this for.

Actually the M14 platform is just one of the many guns its being built for. It is just a 308 mag with multiple towers. Should be fun on a G3, or FAL. I have a buddy with a HK51K complete with sear that is just beging for one of these.

This is one area of guns I just don't get.  It's huge, big, bulky, probably not very handy, and heavy.  Why not just reload.  To me this huge magazines are ridiculous.  I suppose if you had halftrack or something and you wanted to arm it and you don't have a class III, this probably would be ok if you had some kind of mount for it.  Or if you were in your house and zombies were attacking you and you were making a last stand, this would probably be ok.  But for any other SHTF, or self defense scenario, these are just dumb.  I suppose there may be some fun involved with them at the range, but geez.  Can anyone say, "why is your barrel red?"

Its perfect for SHTF!!! Park the wife unit in a high window with the HK91 and tell her to kill anything that moves.

Besides if SHTF, NFA rules go out hte window and all the toys get fun swithces!!!

Its just like the M60 or other belt fed weapons like the SAW
MG nest set up or shoulder sling set up maybe
I'm sure it has a role

A 100 round mag for any SA 308 battle rifle has a role. You can keep peoples heads down for a long time!!

Besides it will look cool a 51k

I've never bought a beta mag, but I know I'll buy this one. I got a M1A that I've never really even broken in.

In fact if they introduce this, I may even buy a spare M1A for my dad to play with (reminds him of the good'ol days in nam)
