[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Scope mount problems...

I bought a used SA scope mount at the fun shop yesterday and it's got the two thumb screws that hold it on. It looks like I have to take out the stripper clip guide to get the other thumbscrew to go in, but what do I have to put in place of it and where do I get it?

As you look at the mount from the left hand side, the upper right screw should be attached to a dovetailed piece that replaces the stripper clip guide. If you don't have that piece you got hosed by the gunshop, as it comes with the mount.

Yea I figured that a piece was missing. Can I get it directly from Springfield?

I called SA today and they have the part for around $32 shipped. Problem is that its backordered

I need to call the fun shop and see if he can dig around for me and find that damned part!
