The M1A/M14's stock needs one for use with a long range scope, but I don't like the soft ones that are strapped on the stock, what other solutions are out there?

BlackHawk has a velcro-strap rubberlike cheekpad that works VERY well.

Thanks, I've seen the Blackhawk cheekpad but it's still a strap on deal, I can't get used to the laces and stuff lol.
Thanks to Karstan I'm getting an awesome adjustable cheek rest, will post pics when it's installed

BlackHawk makes both a lace-up pad and a velcro strap pad.

I just picked up one of these cheek pieces, a guy named karsten makes 'em out kydex and it seems pretty solid.

ran me about 46 bucks, and it looks cool too. Also you can get those ones from smith enterprise at smithenterprise.com for about 40 +shipping... I've seen some pics of boys in the sandbox using smith's piece.
