The rifle is a mutt. Built on an Armscorp reciver, with a Barnett short heavy barrel and NM sights. Stock is my new project though. It's a standard USGI I modified to take an M1 Garand buttplate. Filled in the selector cutout, filled all the little dents and dings with bondo. Adapted a rail I had laying around to the right side, shimmed it in and attached it along with a sling swivel. The buttom is going to be beefed up with fiberglass and recessed to allow fitting of a rail along the bottom. I plan on doing some sortof camo pattern on the stock, not sure what yet though, any suggestions?

Also working on seeing if its possible to cut and thread that crappy muzzle device and adapt a Phantom to work in its place.

Of course the image won't work so here is a link to the album.

Did a quick search on their web site for "Armscorp" and found this:

That rifle sure doesn't match his description...

I'm waiting on the real pic. Sounds interesting.

First of all nope, that ones isn't it. I tried moving the pics to an album I knew worked publicly. Lets try this again

Here is the album, the picture at the bottom right of my two M1A's is this rifle before I stripped the paint and fixed up the stock. The other is my NM SA 86 M1A. Oh, and all the M14's are demilled USGI M14's that we are issued at my school.

Damnit! I give up on this picture thing lol. I can't figure it out, last time someone was able to make it work. Let me know if you guys can't see the album or if anyone can host them, I really would like some input on this project.

Steve, I can host some M14/M1A photos for you on my web site www.imageseek.com/m1a  Tell me a little about the school, Norwich Free Academy?  I'd like to mention it in a future edition of my book M14 Rifle History and Development.  FWIW, it looks like my book will be available in four to six weeks.  If you have some photos (with short descriptions) send them to me at [email protected]  That's a small "L" at the beginning of the e-mail address.

Norwich Univeristy, Military College of Vermont, oldest private military university in the nation started in 1819. Same principal as VMI, the Citadel but we're less well known as a result of being in the middle of nowhere in Vermont and we didn't mobilise our Corps of Cadets for the Civil War officially. If you want more information I am more than happy to share but IM or email me please. We still have 14 select fire M14's in our armory , 7 are nice and well kept and are used for 21 gun salutes and cermonies. The other 7 are beat up and are used for field training. I used one of them a month ago wen doing OPFOR and it had an extremely low serial number. Check older threads and you can read all about it. It's nothing too special really though, I mean as far as I know West Point, VMI, Citadel and the rest of the Big 9 military schools all have M14's they use for drill and ceremony much like us.
