What is the best way to clean a canvas sling for an M1 Garand?

Got one today but kind of well needs to be cleaned

this one and of cause thanks.

A hard bristle brush and a bar of soap keep the sling wet bar soap works well unsented unless you want it to smell like flowers for a while.

Alot of elbow grease and then wash with high pressure water

think I should reblue the metal parts or leave them alone?

Soak it with Shout for a few hours then throw it into the washing machine. Should come out nice and clean.
