| I am considering getting a fulton armory mark14, 18 inch barrel with the sage ebr stock. I want to know if the adjustable cheekpiece on the stock will go up high enough to utilize a acog ta11 effectively? |
| I think it will go high enough but I do not think the Acog would come back far enough. Great for aimpoint. That being said I would not recomend that stock for anything more than a kick ass looking safe queen. I saw one take a 3' fall off a counter onto a carpeted floor and bend the part which collapses the stock to the point where it was no longer useable. Would not even colapse, couldn't imagine the damage it would have sustained had it actually been dropped in field use. If I would not have personally seen this I would already own one. Wish I had pics. Good luck |

I have an 18.5 inch barreled M14 wearing a chopmod chassis and was thinking about the TA11 too...there was one down at the local dealer so I took the rifle down to check it out. The cheekpiece definately goes high enough, but as clippen suggests the eye relief on the TA11 is not long enough to be used effecitvely if mounted on the EBR's picatinny rail. Rumor has it that SAGE is on the cusp of releasing an updated EBR/Chopmod that has provision to remove the first couple of inches of the top picatinny rail such that a smith enterprise mount (or some other three-point-of-contact scope mount) can be used. If this happens then the TA11 would work well. My vote for the ideal optic is to hold out for the 3x aimpoint... Full review of the EBR/ChopMod here Take care, Brobee www.tacticalworks.ca |
